An Outstanding School based in Westminster are on the hunt for an Autism Support Worker / SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Autism (ASD).

You will be tasked with supporting a wide variation of needs including Autism (ASD), PMLD (Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties), SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties), Speech and Language (SP&L) and more! The students needs vary in severity some will be verbal, some non-verbal. If you have any experience with children aged 4-18 with SEN (ASD, PMLD, SLD etc) we would love to hear from you! This does not have to be direct school experience; any transferrable skills will be considered.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

* Autism Support Worker / SEN Teaching Assistant
* Support students with SEN on a day-to-day basis (ASD, PMLD, SLD, SP&L and more)
* Secondary & Secondary opportunities
* Liaising with Class Teachers and the SENDCO regarding progress of children
* Provide a stimulating and safe learning environment for children
* Delivering specialist interventions
* Liaising with the schools therapists
* ASAP Start - Full Time / Term Time Only
* £24,500 per annum
* Located in the Borough of Westminster

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

* Autism Support Worker / SEN Teaching Assistant
* Experience of supporting children (4-18) with SEN - Autism, PMLD, SLD, SP&L - Ideal
* Childcare related experience, ideally with a SEN focus - Ideal
* You MUST be resilient, patient, calm-natured, empathetic & adaptable
* A hardworking and drivenindividual who will exceed all expectations of the role requirements
