Great opportunity to join our International Property division as an Account Executive, working with clients/cedants from across the globe.
The Role
1. Ability to understand a client or prospect’s business, situations, opportunities, problems, and key issues
2. Ability to manage relationships and negotiate placement with the reinsurance market
3. Prepare client and prospect presentations considering the impact of client profitability
4. Work with other Account Executives and Sales Team in determining appropriate solutions and structuring and pricing the deal
5. Identify appropriate markets and determine placing strategy
6. Create and grow relationships with underwriters in London and international markets
7. Price and designing conceptual programmes
8. Ensure ongoing compliance with WTW’s guidelines and procedures.
9. Ensure good relationships and communication with other WTW associates
10. A thorough understanding and an expert real time user for all relevant systems
11. Understand the clients’ business and risk management needs and look for solutions to deliver those needs through the provision of ongoing service
12. Understand, apply and where necessary explain the BU policies and procedures
13. Provide technical, industry and subject matter expertise where required
14. Draw on expertise within specialist technical teams within the BU and across the Group for clients as required
15. Liaise with clients and build strong relationships
16. Determine appropriate solutions, structure, price, and placement strategies that meet the clients’ needs and deliver profitable business for a range of clients
17. Grow existing portfolio by identifying new new, and/or existing opportunities
18. Responsibility for supporting the drive of the sales process and business area practice activity in relation to winning, retaining, and developing profitable new clients
19. Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospects including research, initiation of contact, meetings, responding to RFPs, new business presentations, accurately maintaining WTW CRM database in order to create and convert sales opportunities
20. Respond quickly and accurately to new business introductions
21. Actively identify opportunities to work with colleagues across the business to capitalise on account penetration and cross selling opportunities
22. Develop and maintain knowledge of relevant products and services offered by WTW
23. Networking – internally with other BUs, within the sector, and with external specialists (lawyers, TPAs, insurers).
24. Work closely and maintain working relationships with key market contacts (and the Broking Team) as required
25. Ensure transparency of agency and other commitments made to carriers and clients
26. Manage compliant processing of contracts as per FCA and contract certainty requirements
27. Assist with loading of data into the relevant WTW Systems
28. Check market presentations and client documentation as appropriate
29. Assist with and design programme and pricing structures to best meet the client’s needs based on knowledge of the client, the reinsurance market and industry sector proposition
30. Deliver optimisation of revenue from new and existing clients through the use of the full range of appropriate placement channels and markets for the specific client segment of the business.
