Cityworx are recruiting on behalf of an established healthcare recruitment agency based in the Sutton area for an experienced Payroll and Credit Control Manager. Role Overview: You will play a vital role in maintaining a database of workers, overseeing and supervising the payroll functions, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations. The ideal candidate would have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to build strong working relationships. The role also includes credit control responsibilities, overseeing the timely collection of payments from clients to meet the companies cash collection and debt targets. Key Responsibilities: * Supervising the work of existing Payroll Administrators. * Advise Payroll Administrators about taxes and employment laws on salary. * Calculating wage increments, public holiday pay and any deductibles including company pension and expenses. * Support the training of new team members. * Analysing and reporting on payroll data with the CFO. * Assisting the Financial controller with the annual audit process. * Managing electronic timekeeping systems and manually collecting and reviewing timesheets. * Developing and refining payroll procedures to maintain an accurate database and ensure no delays to the payroll process. * Investigating expenses and calculating reimbursements in line with company set budgets. * Keep up to date with changes in payroll regulations and adjust payroll systems and processes accordingly. * Assist with ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis as needed. * Manage the weekly cash collection targets to ensure the cashflow targets of the business are met. * Allocating new accounts to the credit controller. * Managing the invoicing process and upload to Sage and HSBC * Manage the posting of daily cash receipts * Manage the timely production of Aged debt reports Person Specification: * Comprehensive understanding of tax and payroll laws * Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar payroll role in The UK * Relevant payroll/finance qualification * Strong working knowledge of Sage 50 or similiar accounting software. * Able to manage workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. * Desirable experience working in a healthcare setting
