Purpose of the Role
This role is central to ensuring that applications handled by the organisation are evaluated accurately, consistently and in line with defined regulatory standards. You will take ownership of allocated caseloads, supporting expert assessors, coordinating evaluation activity and ensuring all applicants receive a fair, transparent and professional service.
You will play a key role in safeguarding the quality and integrity of assessment processes and supporting operational excellence across the wider team.

Key Responsibilities
Manage and progress individual applications throughout the casework cycle
Plan, coordinate and support evaluation meetings, including efficient preparation of documentation and precise minute taking
Produce clear, well-structured written reports and correspondence to support decisions
Maintain meticulous records and ensure case management systems are up to date and audit-ready
Act as a point of contact for applicant enquiries, providing guidance and updates as needed
Track and monitor deadlines to ensure service-level expectations are met
Support continuous improvement activities and contribute to the review of policies and procedures
Attend internal and external meetings as required, representing the department professionally
Provide support to senior colleagues during peaks in workload and deputise when required

Essential
Degree-level education or successful track record in a similar role
Strong written skills with the ability to analyse, interpret and summarise complex information effectively
Excellent organisational capability - able to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and accountability
Confident IT user, including databases and Microsoft 365 applications
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and influence colleagues at all levels
Experience working in a fast-paced, customer-focused or casework administration environment
Ability to work autonomously and use initiative
High attention to detail, professionalism and absolute confidentiality
