* Job Title: Occupational Therapist
* Location: Fieldstone School (Ashburton & Newton House sites) – Devon, TQ13 7EP
* Salary: Up to £53,200 FTE, DOE
* Hours: 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday 8:30am–4:30pm
* Contract: Permanent (term time only, but flexibility can be discussed for full‑time)
* Essential: Full valid UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
The role
You will join the in‑house clinical team at Fieldstone School, working collaboratively with the education team to deliver bespoke occupational therapy assessment and intervention to pupils who may have experienced developmental trauma, be neurodivergent, or have SEMH needs. You will work within the standards provided in the OFG Occupational Therapy Ways of Working, which guide your practice and clarify your roles and responsibilities. You will be given responsibility for holding an occupational therapy caseload, supported by your designated clinical supervisor and Lead Clinician, who also contribute to staff training and consultation. This post suits a resilient, creative and enthusiastic individual, and the clinical teams help maintain a person‑centred, empowering approach that puts pupils at the forefront of everything they do.
Essential Criteria
* Recognised Occupational Therapy degree
* Valid and up to date HCPC registration
* Registered member of RCOT
* Evidence of continuous professional development and ongoing self‑development
* Relevant experience in providing occupational therapy services within a similar setting is preferable
* Previous engagement with neurodivergent and/or learning difficulty and/or socio‑emotional and mental health difficulties, with transferable skills
* Sound knowledge of OT theory and its practical application to support independence
* Experience of multi‑professional work with teams or services in the designated speciality preferred
* Ability to work independently, flexibly and confidently in a school environment
* Clear and concise report‑writing skills
* Full UK driving licence with access to a car
* Interest in sensory integration or sensory‑informed practice (SI practitioner training in progress or completed is preferable, but not essential)
