Our Data Science & Analytics team builds the intelligence that powers personalised experiences, smarter decision‑making, and commercial performance across the business. Our ML Engineers work alongside data scientists, data engineers and our operations teams to productionise models, automate workflows, and ensure our solutions run reliably at scale. Together, we’re evolving a proven, automated ML platform to keep it reliable, scalable, and ready for the future.
What you’ll do
* Build and deploy scalable machine learning solutions that power customer experience, personalisation, and commercial decision‑making across Sky.
* Develop robust feature engineering pipelines that feed ML models and analytical products.
* Work closely with data scientists, engineers, and product teams to translate business needs into production ready systems.
* Implement, test, and optimise ML workflows to ensure reliability, performance, and compliance in a large‑scale cloud environment.
* Stay current with emerging ML engineering techniques (e.g. Agentic AI) and bring innovative approaches into the team.
What you’ll bring
* Solid Python engineering skills, including writing production quality code and working with ML/analytics libraries.
* Hands‑on experience with data engineering workflows: data modelling, pipeline development, and processing of large structured and unstructured datasets (SQL preferred).
* Practical experience deploying ML models and analytical applications to cloud platforms (GCP preferred).
* Familiarity with modern ML operations practices: model management, monitoring, CI/CD, and reproducible workflows.
* Understanding of microservices, containerisation, or orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
* Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

How you’ll work
We've adopted a hybrid working approach to give more flexibility on where and how we work. The hybrid working expectations for this role are 2 days in the office per week.
Your office base
Osterley
Our Osterley Campus is a 10‑minute walk from Syon Lane train station. Or you can hop on one of our free shuttle buses that run to and from Osterley, Gunnersbury, Ealing Broadway and South Ealing tube stations. There are also plenty of bike shelters and showers.
