Amey is looking for a skilled joiner to join our team at HMP Haverigg on a temporary basis. This is a hands-on role where you’ll play a key part in maintaining and improving the prison estate, ensuring a safe and functional environment for staff and residents. You’ll be responsible for delivering a range of joinery and carpentry tasks, working as part of a multi-skilled team in a secure and rewarding setting.
Your new role
1. Carry out planned and reactive joinery maintenance and repairs.
2. Install and repair doors, windows, furniture, and other wooden fixtures.
3. Ensure all work ispleted to a high standard and in line with health and safety regulations.
4. Work collaboratively with other trades and prison staff.
5. Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and tidy condition.
What you'll need to succeed
6. NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Carpentry & Joinery or equivalent qualification.
7. Proven experience in a similar role, ideally in amercial or public sector environment.
8. Strong attention to detail and amitment to quality.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
10. Willingness to work in a secure environment.
11. Must pass enhanced security clearance.
