Assistant Management Accountant

Join our flourishing chocolate & ice cream business and play a key role in shaping the financial insights that drive our success, from balance sheets to chocolate treats. We're looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to support our Finance Manager in producing timely, accurate management information that aids decision-making across the company.
This is a great step for someone who is part-qualified with ACCA/CIMA (or finalist) and looking for hands-on responsibility, variety, and the chance to develop and grow.
What You'll Do
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you'll:
* Assist in preparing monthly management accounts, KPI packs and insightful commentaries.
* Support budgeting, forecasting and wider business intelligence reporting.
* Contribute to statutory reporting and compliance (VAT, AIR, HMRC returns, etc).
* Provide technical support to colleagues and help improve processes across ledgers, stock control and reporting systems.
* Deputise for the Finance Manager where required, including IT/system support.
* Proactively identify cost savings, cash flow improvements and ways to strengthen bottom-line profitability.
What We're Looking For
* Part-qualified or finalist with ACCA/CIMA.
* Proven experience in management accounting, financial analysis & data manipulation.
* Strong Excel skills are a must; Sage experience an advantage.
* Analytical, detail-focused and comfortable interpreting data for decision-making.
* Able to communicate effectively across all departments in the business.
* Organised, proactive, problem solver with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Must be able to reliably commute to site (NR9 3NP).
