An exciting opportunity to join an established and high-performing Procurement function working for this highly respected non-for-profit organisation based in Essex. The function enjoys high levels of buy-in and support and this role will play a key part in helping the organisation achieve its objectives. There is a need to be in the office 2-3 days per week with an empowering and supportive culture in place.
This role will manage a range of indirect procurement categories from end to end. A key part of the role will be to work closely with a range of internal stakeholders providing advice and support to ensure compliance and buy-in to strategic procurement objectives.
Additional areas of focus will include: developing and embedding category management strategies; reviewing current contracts to identify risks and cost-saving opportunities; guide stakeholders through the procurement process; undertake market analysis and supplier sourcing; and play a key role in contract management driving long-term supplier relationships.
To succeed in this role, experience in public sector procurement is essential with evidence of completing PA23 training highly advantageous. With demonstrable experience of managing procurement activity from end to end across a range of categories, you will have strong communication and relationship building skills.
