Why this role matters
Join Vorwerk’s Finance team to help ensure our financial operations are accurate, compliant, and well-governed. As a Financial Accountant, you’ll be the go-to expert for maintaining the integrity of financial reporting, supporting compliant accounting processes, and coordinating key statutory tax and regulatory requirements. Your work strengthens financial control, supports liquidity forecasting and risk management, and helps ensure our systems and governance keep aligned with evolving legal and regulatory expectations.
What you’ll do
* Ensure compliance with statutory obligations and filings, including Companies House, HMRC, and ROS requirements.
* Oversee fixed asset accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, and reconciliation of asset register.
* Analyse and explain key variances in the balance sheet, identifying underlying risks and opportunities.
* Prepare and maintain liquidity forecasts, including variance analysis against financial plans.
* Assist in the annual external audit process and support internal audits as required.
* Provide financial, legal, and tax-related advice to the Board and internal departments.
* Identify opportunities to improve finance processes and support ERP/IT system enhancements.
* Contribute to the ongoing development of finance policies, procedures, and internal controls.
* Participate in cross-functional projects to improve financial governance and operational efficiency.
* Provide analysis and insight on financial results to support management decision-making.
* Inter-company reconciliations and Bi-yearly Group legal reporting
* Supporting AP & AR team with accounting queries
* Approving supplier invoices and purchase orders in SAP
What you bring
* Part qualified or qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA)
* Proven financial reporting/accounting experience
* Advanced experience within Excel (Pivot Tables, Formulas, Data Linking etc)
* Experience of SAP preferable
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Excellent analytical and numerical skills
* Ability to plan and manage own workloads without close supervision
* Accuracy and attention to detail
* Relationship management/building
