Job Summary:
Raymarine UK Ltd are looking for an experienced Program Manager to lead the project management department and successful introductions of cutting-edge marine products to the market. The Program Manager will be responsible for delivering projects as well as overseeing and coordinating multiple projects, ensuring they align with Raymarine’s strategic objectives. As well as direct reports the Program Manager will be responsible for overseeing cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, supply chain, and marketing, to ensure efficient collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
This role requires a proactive individual with strong project and program management skills, experience in software development, digital transformation, App development and the ability to navigate complexities to deliver hardware and software projects on time, within budget and to specification. Quality is essential as our products serve the needs of both recreational and professional users on the water every day.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Program Planning and Execution
1. Develop and maintain comprehensive program plans, dependencies, timelines, and budgets.
2. Collaborate with product management, engineering, supply chain, and marketing teams to define project goals, timelines, and deliverables.
3. Coordinate and align multiple project goals, timelines, and deliverables with overall strategic objectives.
4. Optimize resource allocation across projects to maximize efficiency and minimize costs, ensuring alignment with budgetary constraints.
5. Oversee the execution of projects within the program, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.
Risk Management and Mitigation
6. Conduct program-level risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to address challenges across multiple projects.
7. Monitor and manage risks throughout the program lifecycle, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
Stakeholder Communication and Reporting
8. Facilitate regular communication among stakeholders, providing updates on program progress, challenges, and key milestones.
9. Serve as the primary point of contact for program-related inquiries, ensuring alignment and transparency.
Quality
10. Conduct regular reviews to ensure project and program deliverables meet quality standards.
11. Manage, resolve issues and report on NPI products through Infant Monitoring.
12. Support quality initiatives and participate in continuous improvement efforts.
Process improvement and Strategic Initiatives
13. Facilitate process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality across projects and programs.
14. Develop and implement strategies to identify process bottlenecks, streamline workflows, and optimize resource utilization.
15. Collaborate cross-functionally to analyze current processes, define improvement opportunities, and drive continuous improvement efforts through the application of lean methodologies, Six Sigma principles, and other best practices.
To be ready to take on this role we would love if you had:
16. Bachelor's degree in business or a related field. Ideally an advanced degree.
17. Project management certification.
18. Proven experience as a Program manager.
19. Strong leadership and organizational skills.
20. Proven experience in bringing complex hardware, software, and App products to market.
21. Proven experience in digital services and transformation.
22. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
23. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, solve problems, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing project requirements.
24. Proficiency in project management processes, tools, and software.
