Job Overview
Female Carer/Personal Assistant/Companion/Assistant Driver required for a disabled client in St Helens, Merseyside. The role provides personal and practical support to enable the client to lead a more independent life.
Main Duties
* Drive wheelchair‑accessible van to events, outings and appointments.
* Assist with personal care, including washing, toileting and dressing.
* Help with feeding and meal preparation when required.
* Support daily physiotherapy exercises and attend therapy/hospital appointments.
* Assist with light shopping tasks.
* Perform domestic duties: laundry, bed changing, cleaning, dusting and washing.
* Provide companionship and support during holidays.
* Work flexibly as part of a team, maintaining high personal standards at all times.
Working Hours & Schedule
Varied hours per week. Hours to be worked between 08:30 – 21:00, Monday‑Sunday on rota. Some nights and early morning starts (as early as 06:00) may be required. Flexibility is essential.
Pay & Benefits
£12.71 per hour. Benefits may include flexible hours and support for a rewarding and enriched life.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Enhanced DBS check required.
* Clean driving licence necessary.
* Must be able to drive a wheelchair‑accessible van.
* Experience or willingness to learn care for a person with quadriplegia and cerebral palsy.
* Comfortable working with pets (cats, dogs, etc.).
* Three references required, one from the most recent employer.
* UK work authorisation required.
* English language proficiency required.
* First Aid certificate is an advantage but not mandatory.
