Summary
Actual salary based on 30 hours per week, term time plus 10 days - £19,987 to £21,319.
The post is temporary for 12 months or until the return of the current postholder, whichever is sooner.
Term time plus 10 days (2/3 days during February half term and 7/8 days throughout the Summer holidays) 30 hours per week - 6 hours/day - Suggested hours – 8.15am to 2.15pm however there is flexibility to work between the hours of 8.00am and 5.00pm.
Due to the maternity leave of the current postholder, we are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, hardworking and well organised individual to the post of Finance Assistant. You will support the School Business Manager and Assistant School Business Manager with financial operations, ensuring effective, high quality and professional support. Responsibilities include handling daily finance tasks, maintaining accurate records in SIMS Finance 6, and processing orders, invoices, and payments. Whilst experience of working in school finance and in educational IT based systems is desirable, it is not essential as full training will be provided.
You should have:
* A minimum of 4 GCSE's Grade C or above (or equivalent) which must include English and Maths;
* Recent experience of working within a financial environment;
* Experience in maintaining computerised and manual administrative systems;
* Excellent IT skills;
* Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately at all levels;
* Attention to detail and problem-solving skills;
* Ability to be discrete and confidential in all aspects of the role.
