Supply Heroes are working in partnership with a welcoming and ambitious primary school in Coleshill to recruit an experienced Year 5/6 Teacher for the full academic year.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident KS2 practitioner with a strong track record in upper KS2, who can drive attainment and support pupils in the crucial lead-up to secondary school. The school is seeking someone who can hit the ground running and bring strong curriculum knowledge, structure, and high expectations to the classroom.
You’ll be joining a supportive team with a clear focus on pupil progress, consistency, and high-quality teaching.
The Role
* Full class responsibility for a Year 5/6 class
* Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons aligned with the KS2 curriculum
* Prepare pupils for end of KS2 expectations, including SATs
* Use assessment data effectively to inform planning and accelerate progress
* Differentiate learning to stretch and support all pupils
* Maintain a positive, structured, and focused learning environment
* Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff
* Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and carers
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
* Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Has proven experience teaching Year 5/6 (essential)
* Demonstrates strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and assessment frameworks
* Has a track record of improving pupil outcomes in upper KS2
* Is confident in preparing pupils for SATs
* Shows excellent behaviour management and classroom leadership
* Is organised, proactive, and committed to high standards
* Brings a positive, driven, and professional approach
