Job Title - Principal and Senior EC&I Engineer
Location - Risley, Warrington
Hybrid – Required in the office 3 days per week and 2 days remote
Arrangement – Contract

We are seeking an experienced Senior Control, Electrical, and Instrumentation (CE&I) Engineer to join our team. The role involves delivering work packages across various system scopes for all three SEP machines, focusing on solving diverse CE&I challenges. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in delivering compliant, timely, and budget-conscious CE&I design solutions.
Profile
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver CE&I design solutions for complex systems across multiple SEP machines, ensuring solutions meet technical, cost, and schedule requirements.
2. Break down complex problems into manageable parts, providing clear options and selecting the best solutions.
3. Contribute to the creation, delivery, and reporting of work plans and schedules.
4. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing clear, timely updates.
5. Apply knowledge of relevant regulations (e.g., CDM, PUWER, Machinery Safety BS13849/62061, BS7671, UKCA/CE, industrial installation methods).
6. Review and check engineering drawings for compliance with standards.
7. Review and challenge electrical power calculations according to BS 7671 or equivalent standards.
8. Create and review design specifications aligned with project requirements.
9. Produce risk assessments, installation method statements, EO packs, quality documentation, and O&M manuals.
10. Contribute to functional safety designs (IEC 61508) and safety case documentation.
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
* Chartered Engineer (CEng), Incorporated Engineer (IEng), or equivalent experience.
* Proven experience delivering CE&I design solutions on time and within budget.
* Ability to decompose complex problems and present practical solutions.
* Experience in producing, delivering, and reporting work plans and progress.
* Excellent communication skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders.
* Deep understanding of regulations relevant to CE&I equipment delivery.
* Familiarity with engineering drawings and standards compliance.
* Proficiency in electrical power calculations per BS 7671 or similar standards.
Desirable Qualifications and Skills:
* Strong engineering judgment based on evidence and risk analysis.
* Experience in creating design specifications and resolving panel/build issues.
* Knowledge in producing safety-related documentation and supporting quality requirements.
* Experience with technical files, deliverables, and EHSRs.
* Background in functional safety (IEC 61508).
