Production Technician Location: Clacton-on-Sea Salary: £24,000 - £27,000 Bonus We are recruiting a Production Technician to join a busy and dynamic manufacturing team. This role is key to ensuring composite products are produced accurately, safely, and in line with customer specifications. You will work closely with the Lead Sawman and support all daily production activities, using a range of saws, tools, and technology to deliver high-quality results. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, has strong attention to detail, and is keen to develop within a supportive production environment. Key Responsibilities Assist in reading CAD drawings and interpreting technical specifications Operate table saws, wall saws, and chop saws to cut composite materials Use handheld devices (e.g., tablets) for job processing and uploading HD photos Work confidently with software such as Salesforce, Microsoft Teams, and Outlook Take clear HD photos at required stages of the production process Load, stack, wrap, and palletise goods ready for despatch Carry out routine equipment checks and support basic maintenance tasks Follow Health & Safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE at all times Maintain a clean and well-organised work area Adhere to Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) for material handling and equipment use Report safety concerns, equipment issues, or deviations from standard processes Participate in training, toolbox talks, and continuous improvement initiatives Contribute to a safe, efficient, and quality-focused production environmentSkills & Experience Required Highly organised with strong attention to detail Able to prioritise workloads and manage daily tasks effectively Confident communicator, both written and verbal Excellent team player with a proactive, positive attitude Competent using power tools safely (battery, 110v, 240v, petrol/diesel) Good level of physical fitness, comfortable with manual handling and standing for long periods Ability to follow technical drawings and production specifications Comfortable using modern IT systems and handheld devicesBenefits Bonus Holidays: 33 days including Bank Holidays, with the option to purchase up to 5 additional days (increasing with service) Full Sick Pay scheme after 1 year Occupational Health support Wellbeing initiatives (massages, fitness groups, wellness programmes) Salary sacrifice schemes: Electric Car, Tech Scheme, Cycle to Work Quarterly 1-to-1 welfare and performance reviewsTo hear more about the Production Technician opportunity, please apply or contact Lauren at Prime Appointments for a confidential chat.
