Phoenix is a multi-cultural 11-19 secondary school, serving 1759 students in the north of West Bromwich close to the border with Walsall in the West Midlands. Phoenix is a school that aspires to turn every child's dream into reality; believes that there is no limit to what can be achieved and succeeds through passion, commitment and determination.We are seeking to appoint a highly talented and innovative, qualified teacher of Science to join our friendly and supportive team. You will have a confident understanding of the curriculum and the ability to inspire excellent learning. The science department currently offers AQA Combined Science Trilogy, and AQA Separate sciences at KS4. As well as AQA A-levels in Biology, Chemistry and Physics and the new AAQ Applied Science at KS5.The ideal candidate will be educated to a degree level in a science discipline, with a track record of excellent teaching in science. Experience in teaching A level & BTEC courses would be advantageous but not essential.As a school we have a fabulous CPD offer to support colleagues at whatever point in their career they are, from our ITT to our senior leaders.
