Job Description
We are recruiting Level 2 and Level 3 Early Years Teaching Assistants to support a range of primary schools and nurseries across Preston. This role is ideal for candidates who are passionate about early childhood development and eager to play a key part in helping young children progress socially, emotionally, and academically.
You will work across nursery and Reception classes, supporting children through structured learning, free‑flow play, and early phonics and numeracy activities. This is a temp‑to‑perm opportunity, offering long‑term stability for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
* Supporting children in Early Years settings through play‑based and structured learning
* Assisting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom organisation
* Providing individual and small‑group support
* Encouraging positive behaviour, communication skills, and independence
* Helping maintain a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment
Requirements
* Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
* Experience working within Early Years is highly desirable
* Strong understanding of EYFS principles
* Confident, proactive, and supportive approach
* Ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents
