We are currently recruiting for an Statistical Officer based in the Belfast Area. The successful candidates will be required to start once the vetting paperwork, ANI clearance has been completed.
Start date: ASAP
Duration: 29/03/2026 with possible extension
Rate of pay: £19.59
Hours of work: Flexi working hours, Monday-Friday
Main Duties:
The postholder will have responsibility for:
– Working to deliver the teams numerous publications throughout the year including the NICS Sickness (annual and quarterly) and NICS Workforce outputs.
-Working closely with NICS HR to deliver the Statutory returns for the Equality Commission for Northern Ireland – Fair Employment Monitoring Return (Yearly) and the Article 55 and Gender Review (3 yearly).
– Providing personnel and equality data to feed into the Quarterly Employment Surveyand Yearly Business Register and Employment Survey.
– Analysis and production of sickness absence reports for AFBI and Invest NI on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
– Answer ad hoc queries, AQ’s and FOI’s in relation to Equality, personnel and sickness absence statistics.
Essential Criteria:
– Experience in using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
– Experience in SPSS
Desirable Criteria:
– Experience in R is desirable.
– Degree Qualification which includes at least one module involving Statistics
