The role: As Director of Resources, you will provide strategic leadership to the Finance, Law, Governance, Audit, People, Commissioning, Digital, Data and Technology teams. The role provides clear, visible strategic leadership to deliver better outcomes for the Borough. The Director of Resources plays an active role as a member of the Council’s Senior Leadership Team to provide strategic and professional leadership, contributing to the delivery of the Our North Tyneside Council Plan Who we are looking for: • An experienced leader who can balance the management of regulatory frameworks with innovative solutions to the Resources offering for North Tyneside • An individual with exceptional ability to influence, negotiate and build partnerships across multiple stakeholders • Experience of ensuring there are effective internal controls and systems in place that maintain value for money • The ability to champion a culture of inclusion, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the organisation • An inspirational leader who can work with our partners, residents, communities and businesses to listen to their views and care for the Borough now and in the future
