The successful candidate will work as part of a passionate and skilled team providing financial support and advice to a range of projects, meeting statutory deadlines and supporting the Council’s budget management process in order to ensure that the local authority is financially sustainable.
You will be given appropriate paid time off work, to study the CIPFA qualification. This Level 7 Accountancy apprenticeship is an academically rigorous programme and following successful completion the individuals will hold a recognised CCAB qualification. What skills and experience do you need?
We are looking for someone who is passionate about working for our community and has the following qualifications / experience:
* Educated to Degree Level (6) or equivalent
* Two A-Levels, grades A–C, or accepted equivalent Level 3 qualification
* Three GCSEs Grade C/4 or above or equivalent Level 2 qualifications (Must include English & Maths)
* Excellent Communication & Interpersonal Skills with ability to adapt approach to meet needs of audience
* IT Skills
* Self-motived with a commitment to learning and the full duration of the apprenticeship — showing reliability and readiness to balance work and study responsibilities
* Willingness to learn and develop new skills - apprenticeships are designed for those ready to grow through hands-on experience and training.Please outline in your personal statement how you meet this criteria.
Candidates will be subject to an assessment of any prior learning they hold, to ensure suitability for the post.
Please note this is a fixed term apprenticeship for up to 42 months (may vary due to prior qualifications and experience)
