Role summary
Are you a CNC Turner or CNC Programmer looking to develop your skills within Sliding Head machining, joining a fast-growing engineering company manufacturing high-precision components for the Aerospace, Defence, Subsea, and High-end Engineering sectors? The role offers full training on CNC Sliding Head machines and progression within a supportive precision engineering environment. The successful candidate will be trained to program, set, and operate CNC Sliding Head machines, ensuring components are manufactured accurately and efficiently while maintaining high quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities
* Training to program, set, and operate CNC Sliding Head machines
* Interpreting engineering drawings and tolerances
* Manufacturing precision components for Aerospace, Defence, Subsea, and High-end Engineering sectors
* Maintaining high quality and health & safety standards
* Working Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:30
* Overtime available in the week and Saturdays paid at 1.33x in the week and 1.5x on Saturdays
The Person / Qualifications
* CNC Turner, CNC Setter, or CNC Programmer background
* Keen to learn CNC Sliding Head machining
* Apprenticeship trained or previous CNC machining experience
* Strong understanding of tooling, materials, and tolerances
* Good communication skills and team-oriented attitude
