Role responsibilities
* Process purchase invoices, prepare payment runs and maintain accurate purchase ledger records.
* Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements and petty cash; log income and oversee lettings invoices.
* Support monthly budget monitoring by producing clear management information and variance analysis.
* Assist with payroll-related admin and pension documentation, liaising with payroll providers where needed.
* Prepare documents for audits, help manage grant claims and ensure financial procedures are followed.
Person specification
* Experience in a transactional finance role, ideally within education or public sector settings.
* Strong attention to detail, accuracy in reconciliations and competency with accounting software.
* Effective organisational skills, ability to meet deadlines and to prioritise routine and ad-hoc tasks.
* Good communicator who works well with non-finance colleagues and external suppliers across Richmond.
* Available to begin January 2026 and to participate in pre-term handover sessions.
