Job Description

Williams F1 Racing Team is looking for an experienced ERP Technical Analyst to join our team, supporting the design, development, and deployment of solutions within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O). With a primary focus on Supply Chain and Finance, you will play a key role in delivering system enhancements, maintaining platform stability, and acting as a technical escalation point for the support team.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to the continuous improvement of enterprise systems within a high-performance, engineering-led organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Systems Design & Delivery

* Translate business and functional requirements into maintainable, scalable technical solutions within D365 F&O.

* Deliver hands-on system customizations, including adding/extending fields, tables, and forms; updating SSRS reports; configuring security roles; and enhancing workflows.

* Identify gaps in standard D365 functionality and develop robust enhancements following best practices.

* Review and support technical designs, ensuring upgrade-safe, extensible solutions.

Platform & Architecture

* Maintain oversight of D365 F&O architecture, integrations, reporting, and data flows.

* Support and enhance integrations between D365 F&O and other enterprise platforms.

* Ensure technical solutions are performant, secure, and aligned with organisational standards.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

* Work closely with functional consultants, business stakeholders, and systems analysts to deliver effective technical solutions.

* Act as a technical advisor, explaining system behaviour, limitations, and enhancement options.

* Contribute technical insight to the wider ERP and enterprise systems roadmap.

Support, Issue Resolution & Escalation

* Act as a technical escalation point for the ERP support team.

* Conduct root cause analysis and implement long-term solutions for recurring issues.

* Support deployments, hotfixes, and releases while minimizing disruption.

Governance, Quality & Compliance

* Ensure all system changes comply with governance, security, and regulatory standards.

* Promote best practices in change management, documentation, and code quality.

* Identify and remediate non-conforming processes or technical solutions.

Continuous Improvement & Risk Management

* Identify opportunities to enhance system performance, usability, and maintainability.

* Reduce manual or off-system working practices by extending D365 capabilities.

* Stay current with D365 F&O releases and best practices, applying learnings to improve the platform.

* Assess technical risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure platform stability and upgrade readiness.

Key Accountabilities

* Role model Williams’ values and behaviours.

* Prioritise health and safety, leading by example.

* Maintain brand standards and high departmental presentation.

* Champion quality standards and continuous improvement across the business.

Qualifications

* Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (or AX 2012), including a minimum of 3 end-to-end implementations.

* Strong technical knowledge of D365 F&O architecture, extensibility framework, security model, workflows, SSRS reporting, and integrations.

* Experience independently delivering small-to-medium technical changes (form extensions, report updates, security configuration, workflow enhancements).

* Experience supporting or developing integrations and interfaces with external systems.

* Exposure to PLM and low-code platforms is highly advantageous.

* Experience in engineering-led or manufacturing organisations preferred.

* Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.

* Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

* Microsoft D365 certifications (Finance, Supply Chain, or Technical) are beneficial.
