Contract Manager Location: Keighley, West Yorkshire An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Contract Manager within the Fabrication Department at Galliford Try. As a Contract Manager, you will oversee the delivery of fabrication projects across the UK within the water sector. This includes responsibility for health, safety, and environmental performance, programme management, financial control, and overall project success. You will play a key role in driving improvements throughout the project lifecycle from tendering and design through to supply chain management, manufacturing, installation, and handover. What you will be doing: Manage fabrication projects across the UK, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. Take ownership of programme delivery, financial performance, and overall project outcomes. Actively seek improvements across all stages of the project lifecycle. Lead and develop project teams, setting clear objectives and responsibilities. Support Operations, Installation, and Workshop Managers in resource allocation. Assume responsibility for profit/loss on contracts under the framework. Produce project performance reports and participate in monthly financial/programme reviews. Ensure compliance with company commercial and financial procedures. Prepare estimates, quotations, and tender vetting for others. Establish and agree price variations and final accounts. Liaise closely with tendering and design teams to ensure client requirements are met. Attend site visits and client meetings as required. Experience and Qualifications: ONC/HNC/B.Eng or NVQ equivalent in a relevant discipline. Health & Safety qualifications (IOSH or SMSTS desirable). CSCS card holder. Demonstrable experience with NEC suite of contracts. Proven experience in the water and/or sewage industries. Strong commercial awareness and technical knowledge. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines under pressure. Proficient in Microsoft Office and document management systems. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Flexible, resilient, and able to build strong stakeholder relationships.
