THE ROLE
As our Inventory Planner, you will play a critical role in ensuring optimal inventory flow and allocation across channels. This hands-on role requires close collaboration with Merchandising, Production, Retail, and Logistics teams. You’ll manage inventory forecasting, reporting, and planning tools, and help drive efficiency and availability across global operations.
Please note: This is a full-time, permanent position based in Edinburgh. We are currently operating a hybrid working approach with a minimum of 3 fixed days required each week working from our beautiful Townhouse in Edinburgh City Centre.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Inventory & Forecast Management
* Analyse regularly Rate of Sale (ROS), availability and Weeks Cover at SKU level and recommend actions (e.g. reorders, delays, or cancellations).
* Maintain and share the Projection Report at season and category level with key stakeholders. Identifying any areas of concern or opportunity.
* Advise and approve production movements, ensuring alignment with availability and commercial priorities.
Stock Allocation & Transfers
* Advise weekly Spain inbound priorities, balancing sell-through opportunity and cost efficiency. As well as advising splits between UK and US warehouses.
* Approve internal stock requests from Wholesale, Photography, PR and Marketing.
* Resolve delivery discrepancies in partnership with Store Managers.
* Manage stock returns post-sale and for underperforming SKUs.
* Place seasonal and in-season Buys in coordination with Merchandising.
* Raise and manage internal transfer orders between UK and US warehouse and Spain, for Retail, Online and Wholesale needs.
* Raise daily Store replenishment orders, and update Store Minimums weekly to avoid missed opportunities.
Reporting & Analysis
* Conduct regional Sale analysis, especially between the US and Rest of World (ROW), to inform allocation and buy strategy.
* Create and distribute the weekly stock and sales report with insights across channels and the different US and ROW sites.
* Support Merchandising with ad hoc sales and competitor analysis.

ABOUT YOU
To be a star candidate for this position, you must be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
* 3–5 years of experience in inventory, demand, or merchandise planning.
* Hands-on experience with product data tools, and a strong Excel proficiency.
* Deep understanding of fashion buying cycles, product flows, and global retail operations.
* Strong commercial acumen with a focus on inventory turnover and allocation strategy.
* Experience working across wholesale, DTC (retail & e-comm), and international warehouses a plus.
* Exceptionally detail-oriented, with a structured and analytical mindset.
* Comfortable managing large volumes of data with accuracy and commercial understanding.
