Catering Assistant
We are an award-winning school meals team looking for a Catering Assistant to join our friendly and supportive catering team at Cranmore Infants, Northland Rd, Shirley, Solihull B90 4SA.
Salary: £24,413 - £24,796 pro rata, per annum. Working pattern: 7.75 hours per week, term time 38.6 weeks = £4,334.53 gross per annum. Working 7.75 hours per week, Monday - Wednesday, term time only, this role could fit around caring responsibilities.
Your duties include serving healthy, award-winning meals prepared from locally sourced, high quality ingredients, maintaining hygiene standards in the kitchen, basic food preparation, preparing counters and the dining room for service, operating the cashless till system, and cleaning duties.
Responsibilities
* Serve meals and ensure smooth service during allocated shifts.
* Maintain hygiene and cleanliness in kitchen, counters and dining area.
* Assist with basic food preparation and setup for service.
* Prepare dining spaces and counters for service.
* Operate the cashless till system.
* Carry out cleaning duties as required.
Qualifications and Skills
* Level 2 Food Safety qualification or willingness to complete and pass within first 12 months of service.
* Experience delivering excellent customer service and working as part of a team.
* Good communication skills, enthusiasm and self-motivation.
