Hi! I’m Ilan, Clinical Psychologist and Clinical Director of The Oak Tree Practice Group.
We are an independent psychology practice based in Chapel Allerton, Leeds and looking to expand!
Our clinic is run on the premise that well-supported clinicians who are content in their job will do the best work with our clients, so we put the wellbeing of our team at the forefront of everything we do.
We are a very tight knit group of psychologists and so we are keen to recruit someone who wants to be part of our family, as well as being a capable psychologist of course :)
Clinical work
As part of this role, you will be working with a wide variety of clients including children and young people, as well as adults, couples, families and individuals with neurodevelopmental/neurological presentations. It is important to note that we do get a high proportion of referrals for under 16s, so this will be a core part of the work. We get a wide variety of different presentations and will work with you to identify where your strengths lie and where you’d like to develop further. We are keen to ensure a balanced caseload where our team have time to sufficiently reflect and plan their sessions.
Outside of your clinical work, we will discuss your interests and what you would like to spend your time working on. Current members of the team have chosen to use this time to write articles, conduct research, develop and run training sessions and workshops in schools, and contribute to the starting up of a new service.
Job details
Location: Chapel Allerton, Leeds (LS7) – one day working from home if desired
Salary: £57,528
Annual leave: 30 days (or equal to NHS entitlement if more)
Hours: Full time only – Note that due to a large percentage of demand for outside of work hours, two evenings per week will be required (11am-7pm).
CPD: We are keen to support you with your professional development and are happy to discuss options with you. We also hold monthly in-house CPD sessions.
Supervision: We offer individual supervision with a frequency of whatever you need, as well as peer supervision.
Self-employed sessions: Outside of your contracted work hours, we support you to take on additional fee paying work within the practice if you choose to do so. This is paid on a per-session basis.
Qualifications
You must have HCPC accreditation as a Practitioner Psychologist including a PYL number. We are not able to sponsor visas.
