Platform has partnered with a multinational OEM recognised for their industry leading products within industrial drives to grow their advanced Power Electronics R&D team, developing new products from concept to manufacture.
Responsibilities
* Design critical power components for new products & designs.
* Design and develop analogue, digital, and electronic circuits and systems for power electronics.
* Explore emerging technology in the field, innovating ways to incorporate into designs and products.
* Work alongside a talented and multi-disciplinary team consisting of hardware, firmware and mechanical engineers to navigate complex system designs and trade-offs.
Technical Requirements
* MEng or MSc in Power Electronics or related discipline; experience in a commercial environment.
* Proficiency with SPICE circuit simulation tools.
* Strong understanding of thermal design, DFM, mechanical constraints, and PCB layout; experience with SMPS.
* Ability to build prototypes, experimentation on systems and bench test.
* Experience with thermal, mechanical or EMC for motor drives.
