We have opportunities in your area to be a Tutor, working with children and young people with Special Educational Needs. Working across a broad age range, some students may be disengaged with mainstream education or education in a classroom/school setting for a number of reasons. This could be due to Autism, ADHD, and sometimes challenging behaviour. We support disadvantaged students achieve their academic goals and are a leading reputable provider of alternative and supplementary education to schools and local authorities, supporting children from all backgrounds through one-to-one and small group tuition programmes.
As the specialist tutor, your skill and expertise will play a leading role in improving self-confidence, subject knowledge, and ultimately a positive outcome for all students.
Hours are flexible to suit you and whilst experience is preferred, a formal teaching qualification is not necessarily required. We are unable to offer sponsorship, and UK-based education experience is required.
Candidates from a care, support work, or youth work background considered and you will focus on:
1. Create lesson plans and deliver tuition programmes that are designed to engage, inspire, and teach.
2. Report on attendance, attainment, and engagement for all tutoring sessions.
3. Complete training as required and commit to safeguarding principles.

Minimum requirements:
1. Minimum 6 months education-based work experience gained in the UK.
2. Degree qualified or equivalent.
3. Must live and be eligible to work in the UK.
4. Be willing to undertake a full Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and referencing process, as well as subscribing to the DBS Update Service.
5. Knowledge of the national curriculum for your chosen subject.
6. A commitment to safeguarding.
