Business Support Officer – Care Leaver Council Tax | 8679 | Secondment Opportunity / Temporary Contract until 31 August 2026 | Part-time 18.5 hours per week | £25,853 to £25,989 pro rata per annum | Grade D | Norwich

This will be a hybrid position and when required to attend the office this will predominantly be County Hall.

We are excited to offer an excellent opportunity to join our QA HUB Team on a 12 month temporary basis as a Business Support Officer within Children's Services.

In this vital role, you will deliver high-quality administrative support focused on Council Tax Exemption for young people. Your responsibilities will include maintaining records, managing financial processes and building effective relationships with both internal teams and external partners.

You will play a key role in coordinating the collection and analysis of data, monitoring performance metrics, and producing reports and management information—particularly in relation to end-of-year financial reporting.

To succeed in this role, you'll bring a sharp eye for detail, a structured and methodical approach to your work, and the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse range of individuals. You'll demonstrate excellent customer service skills, along with the adaptability and flexibility needed to manage a variety of tasks. Strong administrative experience, proficiency in IT systems, and clear, confident communication skills are essential.

Key responsibilities include:

* Manage Council Tax Exemption queries for care leavers
* Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including care leavers, PAs, social workers, and local authorities
* Support financial administration and reporting
* Coordinate and maintain data using spreadsheets and other tools
Produce reports and management information as required
