We are now recruiting for an experienced Night Manager to support and manage the staff to enable them to meet the needs of the children and young people at Hill House School.

Duties & Responsibilities;
9. Ensuring that each young person has an allocated key worker
10. Ensuring that each member of staff is aware of each child’s placement plan and their responsibilities for its implementation
11. Attending childcare reviews and planning meetings to provide information and achieve best outcomes for young people
12. Undertaking direct work with young people and acting as an appropriate role model
13. Assist in developing systems in which young people are consulted about the quality of care they receive
Person Specification:
14. Secondary Education with good standard of literacy and numeracy
15. NVQ 3 in caring for Children and Young People (or equivalent)
16. Working towards NVQ4
17. Awareness of Equal Opportunities/ADP issues
18. Knowledge of the Children Act and other relevant legislation
19. Team Building Skills
20. Supervision Skills
21. Ability to manage teams effectively
22. Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
23. Understanding the needs of BESD children including managing challenging behaviour
24. In depth knowledge of ‘Every Child Matters
25. Excellent organisational skills
26. Ability to motivate and enthuse staff
