About the Opportunity

Amentum is recruiting Control and Instrumentation Engineers to join our Nuclear Power Engineering and Technical Services team supporting our key client EDF Energy Nuclear Generation with their nuclear fleet in the UK.

This is a key role within our project and engineering portfolio, which is spread across our UK network at all UK sites and stations. You will be supported and mentored by experienced project engineering management professionals within the business and given the training and opportunities you need to develop and expand your project engineering management and leadership skills with larger and more complex projects.

We have exciting opportunities to join the Nuclear Power EC&I team based in Knutsford, Gloucester, Warrington, Newcastle, Bristol, and Glasgow, helping our clients to deliver the UK’s Net Zero targets. Key responsibilities will include:

* Site walkdowns
* Updating existing documents and drawings
* Helping to produce new documents and drawings, CETS, ECs, RAMs, and RFQs
* Interfacing with project planners
* Preparing and planning plant modifications
* Providing technical expertise and knowledge to troubleshoot activities and tasks

Qualifications

* Hold a relevant engineering Degree/HNC/Chartership in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
* Be adaptable and able to transfer existing skills onto new problems, ideally from a design background
* Be organised and able to work on multiple projects
* Have a passion for solving engineering design problems using CAD software
* Due to the nature of work to be undertaken, applicants will be required to meet certain residency criteria to attain a minimum level of UK residency
