We’re looking for a passionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team and make a real difference in the lives of our pupils.
Your Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our pupils’ learning, wellbeing, and personal development. You’ll help create a safe, nurturing environment where every child can thrive.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Supporting pupils with learning activities and care needs
2. Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
3. Encouraging independence and personal growth
4. Assisting teachers in delivering a broad, balanced, and engaging curriculum
5. Adapting to the varied needs of pupils and being flexible in your approach
Skills and Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking someone who is:
6. Experienced in working with children with SEN (paid or voluntary)
7. Flexible, creative, and child-centred
8. Committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
9. Able to build warm, supportive relationships with pupils
Essential qualifications and skills:
10. GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade C/Level 2 or above)
11. Understanding of safeguarding and child protection
12. Knowledge of SEN, SEMH, or ASD
Desirable:
13. Level 2+ qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning
14. Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
