Description Role: Residential Support Worker (Waking Nights) Salary: £25,500 per annum (pro-rata and depending on experience and qualifications) Location: High Wycombe Contract/Hours: Permanent Part-Time 30 hours a week, which is equivalent to 3 x night shifts a week Benefits: Annual leave entitlement of 29 days PLUS bank holidays (pro-rata) Up to 5 more days leave for continuous service plus the option to buy and sell leave. A bit about the role Our Residential Support Workers create a safe and supportive environment for children and young people to grow and develop. You will ensure their wellbeing is prioritised by delivering personalised care, guidance, and advocacy. It is key that they stay safe and healthy and can reach their full potential. About the service The Vines is situated in High Wycombe, just minutes off the M40, 20 minutes off the M25 and well served by the local public transport network. In this warm and welcoming house, we provide residential short breaks that support children and young people with learning disabilities aged 11 to 19 who have complex behavioural needs. We are looking for a Residential Support Worker for our night shifts to join our fun and supportive team, who can bring their experience, can-do attitude, and passion with them and help maintain the high standards already set by our wonderful team! How you'll help to create brighter futures Provide lead case/care planning management, including assessing, reviewing, and managing risk. Co-ordinating responsibilities within the service, with multi agency and producing family information, including analysis and written reports. Attendance at professional meetings including reviews, court work etc. Leading shifts with the primary aim of the provision of a high-quality service. Supervise and guide staff as required, in accordance with Action for Children policies and procedures. Lead by example with the application of Action for Children's policy procedures and professional practice standards and in line with registration requirements Let's talk about you. Are you resilient and have a positive approach to change and challenge? We are looking for someone with a ‘can do' attitude to join our team. Ideally you will have: Experience of leading Shifts in a Care setting Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or recognised equivalent). Experience and training in safeguarding. An innovative and creative approach to problem solving. Experience of developing tailored care plans The ability to create a safe and fun environment for both staff and children in the home and in the community.
