Assistant Regulatory Accountant
Nottinghamshire
Hybrid – 3 days in the office each week (to include Monday and Tuesday)
To £34,800 per annum plus excellent benefits
Our client is a highly respected financial services organisation, specialising in Mortgages and Savings. They are seeking an assistant regulatory reporting accountant to support the Regulatory Finance team by delivering timely and accurate regulatory reporting and providing cover for any aspects of Sterling Monetary Framework (SMF) administration.
What you will do:
* Provide support for the Regulatory Finance Manager, Finance Director and wider Finance team.
* Prepare and submit regulatory returns.
* Liaise with brokers to facilitate new or rolled deals, T-Bills (zero coupon bonds), Gilts (government bonds) or CD’s (certificates of deposit).
* Liaise with other financial institutions to transact Swaps.
What you will bring:
* Degree level education with A Levels or Level 3 equivalent (AAT, BTEC, Diploma).
* Part qualified accounting qualification (ACCA or ACA).
* Experience working in a highly regulated and audited environment in a similar role.
* Previous experience of Financial Reporting.
* Strong competence in the use of Excel and other Microsoft packages.
* Understanding of accounting procedures and principles.
* Experience of using ALMIS, RegData, Beeds, Egress or Suade would be advantageous.
