Mechanical Fitter – Manufacturing, Start your new career in January
Salary: £26,500 – £31,500 DOE + Overtime
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 4:00pm
Wise Employment are recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing organisation for a Mechanical Fitter to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to start your new career in January, working in a modern manufacturing environment focused on the assembly, maintenance and refurbishment of mobile industrial water treatment systems.
Reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality mechanical builds while maintaining strict safety, quality and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Assemble, install, maintain and repair mechanical components and equipment
Complete routine and preventative maintenance tasks
Refurbish and fabricate parts to support production
Calibrate and validate instruments to ensure accuracy and compliance
Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Work independently and collaboratively with fitters, welders, electricians and fabricators
Adhere to EHS standards, safety risk assessments and 5S housekeeping practices
Contribute to LEAN / KAIZEN continuous improvement initiatives
Attend training sessions, team meetings and support overtime when required
Skills & Experience Required:
Proven mechanical assembly experience within an industrial environment
Experience with PVC and stainless-steel pipework, valves and fittings
Competent use of hand and power tools
Strong understanding of health, safety and quality compliance
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable:
MIG and/or TIG welding experience or certification
Familiarity with water treatment systems
