Recruitment criteria: The recruitment criteria for all posts are subject to workplace adjustments in line with the Constabularies' policies and duties under the Equality Act 2010. Consideration will be given to whether the post can be delivered on either a part time or job share basis, in line with the organisational requirements of this role.

Recruitment and Selection Policy: Internal applicants who are at risk of redundancy or in need of redeployment and pass the selection process, will be offered the role over the remaining internal and external applicants.

Modern Workplace Business Category: 2: Hybrid

Category 1: On Premises – roles/functions are based on premises
Category 2: Hybrid – elements of the role require regular presence on premises
Category 3: Hybrid (Homeworker) – core function can be delivered all/predominately from home, but attendance of premises required for specific purposes
Category 4: Contracted Homeworker – circumstances for someone being a contracted homeworker will be by exception

Grade / Rank Band: E

Salary range: £35,772 – £40,383

Note: if this is a paid role and the role is part time then the salary quoted will be pro rata based on the hours worked per annum.

We are seeking a Workplace Health Business Support Supervisor to join our dedicated Workplace Health team, supporting the delivery of high‑quality occupational health, safety and trauma services across Norfolk and Suffolk Constabularies.


About the Role:

This is a key supervisory position responsible for overseeing the administrative and business support functions within Workplace Health. You will ensure the smooth operation of our service by coordinating staff, systems and workflows while also supporting quality improvement and compliance with Occupational Health standards.

Working closely with clinical and non‑clinical colleagues, you will play a vital role in enhancing the health, wellbeing and safety of our workforce. The role also includes acting as senior system administrator for our occupational health software, supporting business continuity planning, and contributing to strategic reporting and service improvement initiatives.


Key Responsibilities

* Supervise, motivate and develop Workplace Health Administrators
* Coordinate workloads, monitor performance and provide regular feedback
* Support the effective delivery of occupational health and trauma services
* Develop, audit and monitor clinical and business processes
* Lead on Workplace Health system administration and KPI reporting
* Maintain equipment audits and assist with business continuity arrangements
* Support campaigns, initiatives and service developments
* Manage referrals to external specialists and provide TRiM coordination and training
* Represent Workplace Health in meetings when required
* Experience of supervising, motivating and developing staff
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively with individuals at all levels to develop and maintain effective working relationships
* Excellent written, administrative and verbal communication skills, including report writing and the production of management information
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage own workload and that of the team, meeting set deadlines with minimal supervision
* Strong experience of working in occupational health, clinical and trauma support services
* Proven ability to report on clinical and non‑clinical performance
* Good computer skills using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel and specialist occupational health software
* Ability to travel across Norfolk and Suffolk as required
