Job Purpose: Social care opportunity has become available to work as part of a team to support a nonverbal 9-year-old boy with personal care, PEG feeding, safety, and behaviour support. Location: North Walsham, Norfolk, NR28 Details: - Working as part of a 2:1 team - Maintaining hygiene and personal care – Ensure he washes hands before and after meals, nappy changing and clothing changes when required. - PEG Feeding (Training provided if required) - Food and fluid support and offering - Responsible for his safety and well-being at all times - Supporting with behaviours – Follow the lead of the current PA and use safe escorting techniques when required. - Maintaining his environment- Tidy up Person specification: Listed below are the skills, competencies and qualities that are essential and desirable for the post. Other duties will be discussed if/when deemed appropriate but everything that will be expected will be explained prior to acceptance of the position. - The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks. - Access to free training for employed workers. - If this job requires; Manual Handling, Handling of hazardous chemicals and/or Food Handling you will be required undertake annual training.
