A fantastic job opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Senior Support Worker to work in an exceptional nursing home based in the Weymouth, Dorset area. The home specialises in general and dementia nursing, residential and respite care for the elderly. The home is currently rated as Good by CQC. To be considered for this position you must hold an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care.
Responsibilities
* Recognise and facilitate the daily needs of residents
* Conduct formal supervisions and appraisals
* Contribute to care planning and coaching of support workers
* Promote the services offered when dealing with relatives, prospective residents and enquiries
* Participate in updating and writing care plans and resident documentation
* Be responsible for making and reporting realistic assessments of each resident to ensure continuity of care
* Be responsible for administering medication to residents in accordance with policies and procedures
Requirements / Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (required)
* Proven experience of working in a care setting
* Good team player
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* Genuine desire to care for others
