We are seeking dedicated and experienced Senior Domiciliary Carers to join our team at Walfinch Care. In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering exceptional care to our clients, contributing to their well-being and ensuring their person centred outcomes are achieved.
We are recruiting in the following locations:
* Buntingford
* Bishop Stortford
* Broxbourne & Cheshunt
* Hertford & Ware
Morning shifts:
7am - 2pm
Afternoon shifts:
4pm - 10pm
or
6pm - 10pm
Alternate weekends are required
Full UK driving license with access to a car for work required
Responsibilities:
* Personal Care: Helping clients with their personal hygiene, including bathing, using the toilet and getting dressed.
* Medication: Prompting or administering medications (full training is provided.)
* Meal Preparation: Ensuring clients receive a nutritious and balanced diet.
* Companionship: Whether it's a cup of tea and a chat, or helping a client complete a crossword, time spent providing companionship is essential in maintaining our clients' positive wellbeing.
* Running errands: Many of our clients are unable to access their local community and may require help buying the local paper or collecting medication. All additional mileage is paid.
* Light Household Chores: This could include washing dishes, hoovering and helping clients who have restricted mobility to keep a clean living environment.
* Pet Care: Our clients' furry friends may require some additional attention such as topping up their food and water, or going for a short walk.
Essential requirements:
* Experienced Domiciliary Home Carer
* Full UK driving license with access to a car for work
* A genuine passion for improving people's lives
* Strong communication skills
* A proactive attitude
