Excellent opportunity for Qualified ACA or ACCA Accountant to join a highly regarded, well-established rapidly expanding Practice in the Wigan area. As Assistant Audit Manager your responsibilities will include:
* Collaborating with Managers, Senior managers, Directors, and Partners to help delivery a professional audit service to the clients in your portfolio (including manufacturing, retail, construction, hospitality, and charities
* Supporting the Management Team with identifying opportunities to enhance the firms' services and offering.
* Managing a variety of audits from planning to completion, leading a junior audit team
* Identifying and dealing with any complex audit matters and referring them on to the Senior Audit Manager as required
* Audit files and reviews
* Ensuring client files are organised and up to date with new information and key changes
* Liaise with clients ensuring a timely delivery of services and manage the relationship in a professional manner
* Handling any client queries
* External letters to clients, HMRC and statutory bodies
* Organise client meetings including agendas and memos
* Planning work schedules to optimise yearends, interims, stocktakes, IR forms and statutory deadlines
* Effective management of both individual and staff time management
* Use of Excel spreadsheets to present and analyse key information
Applicants should be Qualified ACA or ACCA Accounts Practice Professionals although non-qualified/"QBE" applicants with experience in a similar profile role/s will also be considered. You will have excellent communication skills and will be a team player familiar with working in a collaborative close-knit team environment where everyone works to support one another. Salary to £45k but could be flexibility on this depending on the level of qualification and experience, 25 days hols, 3% pension, good development/progression prospects, onsite parking. 37.5 hour per week, 100% office-based role (no hybrid) but with flexibility re start and end times around core hours of 8-6. Applicants must be fully eligible to work in the UK, through being a UK citizen or having gained ILR, and will live within a sensible commute of Wigan.
