Role Summary
They are looking for a passionate and experienced supervising social worker to join their close‑knit team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who shares our values and is committed to supporting foster families and ensuring that children thrive in their placement.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct monthly home visits to assess and supervise foster carers, ensuring that placements meet the needs of the children and align with agency policies and procedures.
* Provide guidance, training, and advice to foster carers, helping them manage challenges and improve the care they provide.
* Monitor and assess the progress of children in their foster placements, ensuring their emotional, educational, and developmental needs are met.
* Complete foster carer reviews and other relevant documentation.
* Work closely with other professionals, including local authorities, social workers, and educational providers to ensure the best outcome for children in care.
* Participate in on‑call support as part of a rota.
* Contribute to fostering panel and support the ongoing development of the agency’s fostering service.
Skills and Qualifications
* A degree in social work qualification (CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent).
* HCPC registration.
* Full UK driving licence and access to a car.
