The Role
Engineering Manager will be responsible for the following:
The development and promotion through effective communication of Company, Factory and Team plans and their focused implementation to achieve defined objectives.
People Management, motivation and structured development of the team through performance review to ensure delivery of objectives through team working.
Provision of engineering and technical expertise to facilitate the rigorous application of IMS tools and techniques to generate Continuous Improvement across all areas of the manufacturing capability.
1. Managing a team of 20 plus engineers, Teams leaders and engineering shift managers.
2. Analysis of data from the system.
3. Root Cause Analysis.
4. Identification of areas of improvement.
5. Continuous Improvement.
6. Implementation of LEAN manufacturing principles from above analysis.
7. Oversee installation and upgrade projects.
8. Ensure all contractors have Work Permits.
9. Running of appraisals, 1-2-1s & recruitment.
10. Staff Training.
11. H&S Compliance within the Engineering Department.
12. Running Management Meetings.
13. Compiling reports for Senior Managers on OEE, PPMs, Breakdowns and Improvements.

The Candidate
To be successful as an Engineering Manager in your application you must have the following skills, abilities or qualifications:
14. Must have previous experience working as an Engineering Manager or maintenance manager
15. Must have come from an Automated or semi automated Production Environment.
Must have a recognised Engineering Qualification.
