There has never been a better time to join Aylesham Primary School. This is a very exciting time for our school as we continue our journey of positive change and growth.
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Lunchtime Assistant to join our friendly, dedicated and professional team who work together to ensure all children enjoy a safe, happy and engaging lunchtime experience.
We are seeking to appoint a caring and committed Midday Supervisor to support pupils during lunchtimes across the dining hall, playground and indoor areas. The successful candidate will help maintain a safe, nurturing and positive environment, supporting children’s play, social development and wellbeing.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Supervising pupils during lunch in the dining hall, playground and classrooms, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
2. Encouraging positive behaviour, good manners and inclusive play.
3. Supporting pupils with eating and lunchtime routines, promoting independence.
4. Ensuring the environment is clean, safe and well-organised, including managing spillages and movement around the school.
5. Building supportive relationships with children and modelling the school’s values.
6. Reporting any concerns promptly and following school policies at all time.
What we are looking for:
7. Friendly, patient, reliable and enthusiastic.
8. Able to communicate well with children and colleagues.
9. Able to relate to children’s needs and respond with care and understanding.
10. Committed to promoting positive play, inclusion and wellbeing.
11. Willing to uphold and model our school values: Motivation, Integrity, Nurture and Diversity.
Previous experience working with children is an advantage, but not essential. Basic literacy and numeracy skills are required, and training will be provided.
We are a values-led school that places children’s wellbeing and development at the heart of everything we do. Our lunchtime team plays a vital role in ensuring children feel safe, included and ready for learning each afternoon.
