Attendance Officer Remedy are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join a team in Basildon as an Attendance Officer/ Family Engagement Officer. This is a crucial role in promoting a positive and inclusive school environment by ensuring excellent attendance and punctuality among the students. Key Responsibilities: Monitor and record daily attendance, identifying patterns and trends to address potential issues promptly. Establish effective communication with parents, guardians, and external agencies to address attendance concerns and provide support where necessary. Implement strategies and interventions to improve attendance, working collaboratively with teaching staff, parents, and students. Maintain accurate and up-to-date attendance records using the school's electronic system, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations. Prepare regular reports on attendance statistics for senior leadership, governors, and external stakeholders, highlighting areas for improvement and success. Conduct home visits when necessary to engage with parents and address attendance issues in a supportive and proactive manner. Work closely with the pastoral team, teaching staff, and external agencies to create a supportive network for students facing attendance challenges. Provide training to staff, students, and parents on the importance of regular attendance and punctuality. Qualifications and Experience: Proven experience in a similar role within an educational setting. Strong organisational and administrative skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of relevant policies and legislation related to school attendance. Ability to use and manage electronic attendance systems.
