Warehouse Assistant/Driver
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Warehouse Assistant/Driver to join our expanding team. The ideal candidate must be customer satisfaction oriented and will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring a timely and safe delivery. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to handle heavy lifting, making it essential for candidates to have experience in commercial driving and warehousing operations.
Responsibilities
* Safely operate a delivery van to transport goods to designated locations.
* Loading and unloading goods, ensuring proper handling to avoid damages.
* Using PDA scanners to load and record deliveries.
* Communicating effectively with customers and team members regarding delivery schedules.
* Conducting routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with road transport regulations.
* Adhering to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
* Assisting with warehouse duties including verifying/receiving goods accurately and operating warehouse management systems/equipment.
* Replenishing shelves and maintaining a clean warehouse environment.
* Picking and packing orders accurately for dispatch
Qualifications
* Previous warehouse and delivery driving experience is preferred.
* Valid driving licence with a maximum of 3 points
* You must be 25 years or more with 2 years driving experience.
* Ability to lift heavy items safely and efficiently.
* Familiarity with local London routes and traffic patterns will be beneficial.
* A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and customer service.
* Flexibility to work varied hours as needed, including early mornings or late evenings.
* Fluent communication in Portuguese will be an advantage.
