Salary: £29,995 - £37,966
Working hours: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday (some flexibility will be required to attend fundraising events)

About the role

As our Community Fundraising and Events Manager, you'll be at the heart of growing support for The Mulberry Bush. You'll design and deliver engaging events, build lasting relationships with individuals, and inspire local communities to get involved. Every pound raised will help transform the lives of vulnerable children and families - and you'll see the direct impact of your work every day.

You'll join a small, friendly and ambitious team at an exciting time of growth, with plenty of scope to make your mark, develop your creativity, and be part of an extraordinary story.

We'll look to you to:

* Deliver annual income targets through events and community fundraising.
* Plan and manage a calendar of fundraising events, from logistics and promotion to follow-up.
* Build strong relationships with individuals and community groups to inspire ongoing support.
* Provide excellent stewardship through communications, events, visits and public speaking.
* Work with the Fundraising & Events Assistant to make sure events run smoothly.
* Collaborate with marketing to raise our profile locally and create engaging supporter comms.
* Use Raiser's Edge NXT CRM to keep accurate supporter records and reports.
* Contribute to strategies, budgets, appeals and impact reports.
* Stay up to date with best practice and ensure compliance with fundraising and GDPR.

* 33 days' annual leave including public holidays
* Generous employer pension contribution (6%).
* Access to Simply Health cash plan
* A comprehensive range of informal and formal wellbeing support.

About you

You're creative, motivated and full of ideas for inspiring people to get behind a cause. You're organised and detail-driven, but also a natural relationship-builder who enjoys working collaboratively. Above all, you share our belief that every child deserves the chance to thrive.

Here's what you'll bring:

* At least 2 years' experience in fundraising, ideally in events and/or community fundraising.
* A track record of achieving income targets and creating new opportunities.
* Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Excellent written, verbal and public speaking skills.
* Warm, persuasive communication and relationship-building skills.
* Creative ideas for generating new fundraising opportunities.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with fundraising CRMs (e.g. Raiser's Edge NXT) desirable.
* Knowledge of fundraising governance, GDPR and best practice.

Bonus points for

* Experience of securing or growing income in events or community fundraising.
* A fundraising or marketing qualification.
* Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection.
* Understanding of diversity, equity & inclusion in fundraising.
