Overview
Our client, a well-established and respected law firm with multiple offices across Northern Ireland, is seeking an experienced Conveyancing Legal Secretary to join their busy Carrickfergus office. This is an excellent opportunity for a capable and organised legal secretary to support a conveyancing team handling a varied residential property caseload. The role would suit someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in providing high-quality administrative support.
Key Responsibilities
* Providing comprehensive secretarial support to fee earners within the conveyancing department.
* Audio and copy typing of legal documents, correspondence, and contracts.
* Managing files from opening through to completion, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date.
* Dealing with clients, estate agents, lenders, and other third parties via telephone, email, and in person.
* Preparing completion statements and assisting with post-completion matters.
* Diary management, scheduling appointments, and managing deadlines.
* General administrative duties, including file management and compliance with firm procedures.
Essential Skills and Experience
* Previous experience working as a Legal Secretary, ideally within conveyancing / residential property.
* Strong audio and typing skills with excellent attention to detail.
* Confident communicator with a professional and friendly manner.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to tight deadlines.
* Good IT skills, including experience with case management systems.
* Reliable, organised, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
