Overview
A vacancy has arisen within CADS for Band 5 Registered Nurse within the Community Alcohol and Drug Service based Falkirk Community Hospital.
Responsibilities
* Provide training, leadership and supervision to nursing students and non-registered staff engaged in the delivery of evidence-based, effective, specialist interventions to those with substance use problems, including alcohol problems.
* Implement the principles of the recovery model of care and treatment for those with drug and alcohol-related issues.
* Receive formal, structured supervision monthly to ensure patients with substance use have access to treatment, are progressing along the recovery pathway, and receive the appropriate clinical interventions.
* Work within an integrated model of care in conjunction with partner agencies; demonstrate good interpersonal skills and experience of teamwork, which are essential for this post.
* Be willing and able to travel throughout the area of service delivery.
* Be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme. If required, information on the scheme is available at the Disclosures Scotland website.
Qualifications and requirements
* 1st level Registered Mental Nurse (RMN) trained to degree level with an interest or experience in the relevant area of specialty.
* Essential ability to travel throughout the area of service delivery.
* PVG Scheme membership or eligibility to join.
